3. Access Roads
Golden proposes to remove the access roads located on the south and east of the pasture. The
pasture has been graded so that it can be traversed by farm machinery. Elimination of the roads
increases the area that can be used for agriculture. The Reclamation Plan Map has been
amended to reflect this change and included in this technical revision.
4. Topsoil
Reclamation of the pasture required 15000 CY of topsoil. Although a topsoil stockpile was
identified, it did not appear to have an adequate quantity to complete the reclamation and it
was at a location, at the northeast corner of the pasture, that had a steep slope with good
vegetative cover. Golden was concerned that recovering the topsoil would have minimum
benefit and result in increase erosion risk. Instead, Golden opted to manufacture topsoil onsite
using onsite soils, imported topsoil, Class 2 compost, and Biosol soil amendment. Golden
imported topsoil from Neils Luncerford Landscaping Company in Summit County. A signed
affidavit certifying that the soil is clean and inert is included in this technical revision. Submittals
for the compost and soil amendment are also included.
