Angle holes—The holes are vertical. A survey of several companies determined that angle holes <br /> were not feasible. At the chosen location there was insufficient room on the bench to <br /> accommodate the drill rig in the necessary orientation. On the lower existing basin we could not <br /> find a rig that was capable of drilling/casing at the necessary angle and depth required to allow <br /> sufficient head and maintain appropriate distance to the liner. It should be noted that the installed <br /> wells are dimensionally similar with existing wells installed in the VLF and that similar flow <br /> rates under similar conditions rates have been well-proven over the last five years. <br /> Precipitation—precipitation is driven partly by exchange of CO2 and 02 with the atmosphere. In <br /> the wells the available surface area is substantially reduced (0.28 ft2 vs—100 ft2) and the <br /> potential depth is increased. The added head increased the infiltration rate. Precipitation may still <br /> occur in the heap due to the porosity, but it will be distributed over a 3D volume rather than a 2D <br /> plane that limits hydraulic conductivity. <br /> Monitoring/Rehab—Wells will be monitored and flows manually directed between wells. If <br /> conductivity wanes over time to an extent where the volume cannot be accommodated we plan to <br /> use our pad injection pump set up to inject solution at high pressure/volume to flush the area <br /> around the wells.
