Request for Retention of Certain Features at the Carbon Junction Mine <br />and request for Exclusion of Woody Plant Re-establishment (CDMG permit C-92-080) <br />Dear Marcia, <br />Oakridge Energy, Inc., as surface owner of lands within the coal permit area is requesting <br />retention of the following features at the Carbon Junction Mine depicted on the attached Post <br />Mining Retained Features aerial of the Carbon Junction Mine area: <br />A. The following roads and attendant culverts, ditches, any drainage control features, and <br />easements; <br />1. The Ewing Mesa Road from the junction of Colorado Highway 3 to and within the <br />coal permit area (ending adjacent to Topsoil Stockpile 4 and the reclaimed Ewing <br />Mesa #1 Mine area). <br />2. The North Road from the Ewing Mesa Road to the reclaimed North Pit. <br />3. The Firewood Road from the Ewing Mesa Road to the area of former Sediment Pond <br />002. <br />4. The Boundary Road from the Ewing Mesa Road to the east boundary above the <br />reclaimed Ewing Mesa #1 Pit. <br />5. The 1013 Road from the Boundary Road to former exploration hole 1013 and beyond. <br />6. The Topsoil Road from the Ewing Mesa Road adjacent to Topsoil Stockpile #7. <br />7. The Southeast Pasture Road from the Ewing Mesa Road to the southeast pasture <br />southwest of the reclaimed Sediment Pond 001. <br />B. Topsoil Piles 4 and 7 (approved for retention in Technical Revision 16). <br />C. Water wells PWl (also known as 82-4) and 95-1 as residential wells. <br />D. The surface secondary drainage along the southeast side of the Previously Reclaimed <br />Spoils Area (PRSA) <br />
