In spring 2015, Oakridge Energy, Inc. sold their Ewing Mesa property (inclusive of the Carbon <br />Junction Mine permit area) to Marc and Jane Katz, 3051 E. 5d' Avenue, Durango, CO 81301. Mr. <br />Katz has granted right of entry for specific reclamation and inspection activities to OEI and <br />CDRMS. <br />Copies of the right of entry information are located in Appendix 3-2. <br />2.03.7 Relationshia to Areas Designated Unsuitable for Mining <br />The area of the proposed activity is not partially or wholly within an area designated unsuitable <br />for surface coal mining operations under Rule 7 or 30 CFR 764; neither are the lands under <br />consideration for designation in an administrative proceeding under Rule 7 or 30 CFR 764 and <br />765. <br />2.03.8 Permit Term Information <br />Surface coal mining operations began in the first quarter of 1983 and subsequently ceased <br />operating temporarily pending more economical coal markets. No further coal mining will occur <br />at the Carbon Junction Mine under this permit. Final reclamation of the mine site commenced in <br />April 2006 and was completed in August 2006, with completion of sediment control system <br />reclamation in 2009. <br />2.03.9 Personal Iniury and Insurance Information <br />OEI maintains insurance in an amount no less than that required by current CDRMS regulations. <br />A revised copy of the current insurance policy binder is forwarded to the Division upon each policy <br />renewal. <br />The current insurance binder is enclosed in Appendix 3-3. <br />2.03.10 Other Licenses and Permits <br />Descriptions of other permits and licenses required for OEI to operate the Carbon Junction Mine <br />are as follows: <br />Government Agency Permit/License Permit No. Date <br />Department of Health Air Pollution terminated <br />Air Pollution Control Division Emission Permit no mining <br />4300 Cherry Creek Drive South <br />Denver, Colorado 80246-1530 <br />(303)692-3100 <br />Abridged Permit Document 3-8 Minor Revision MR08 6/2015 <br />
