Beginning on the south line of said section 33 whence the east 1/16 corner common to <br />said sections 33 and 4 bears N 82°39'23" E a distance of 160.22; thence S 50°32'00" <br />W a distance of 872.30'; thence N 18°29'20" W a distance of 987.30'; thence N <br />50°46'31" E a distance of 410.77; thence N 40°42'10" W a distance of 467.05' to the <br />west line of lot 6 of said section 33; thence N 04°22'42" E a distance of 93.44' along <br />the west line of said lot 6; thence N 30°00'00" E a distance of 365.69' ; thence N <br />53°00'00" E a distance of 260.00; thence S 52°00'00" E a distance of 730.00; thence S <br />00°00'00" E a distance of 1112.61'; which is the point of beginning. The Carbon <br />Junction Mine coal permit area contains a total of 164.19 acres more or less. <br />The surface owner of the property within the permit area is Oakridge Energy, Inc. The <br />U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute quadrangles titled "Durango East" and "Loma Linda" contain the <br />permit area of the mine. The mine site is located two miles southeast of the Durango city <br />limits, midway up Carbon Junction Canyon, on Ewing Mesa. This is approximately one <br />mile east of the Highway 160/550 business route and State Highway 3 junction. A copy <br />of the permit renewal application is available for public review at the La Plata County <br />Clerk and Recorder's Office, 98 Everett Street, Suite C, Durango, CO 81303, and at the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, phone (303) 866-3567. Anyone with a valid legal interest may <br />submit written comments or objections within 30 days of the last publication of this <br />notice. All comments, objections, and requests must be submitted in writing to the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety at the above address.
