SECTION 2.05 OPERATION AND RECLAMATION PLAN <br />2.05.1 Objectives <br />Oakridge's objective for the current Section 2.05 is torelate the historical plan of <br />operations and the reclamation plan as executed in 2006for the mining area and <br />completed in 2009 with the revegetation of the sediment control system. <br />2.05.2 Operation Plan -Estimated Area for the Life of the Operations <br />At this time no further coal mining will occur at the Carbon Junction Mine. The mine has <br />been reclaimed. <br />2.05.2(1) Production Methods and Equipment <br />The Carbon Junction Mine was planned as a steeply dipping seam open pit mining <br />operation, extractingone thick coal seam above a competent sandstone base. Trucks, <br />shovels, and a backhoewere used to conduct overburden extraction and coal removal. <br />No further coal mining will occur at the Carbon Junction Mine under this permit. The <br />mine has been reclaimed. Remaining activities will be limited to those necessary to <br />monitor reclamation. <br />2.05.2(2) Operation Description <br />Activities at the Carbon Junction Mine are solelyrelated to reclamation and monitoring. <br />The mine plan map revised in 2002 shows two foot contour intervals derived from aerial <br />photography in the 1st quarter of 2002. The base topographic map was developed by La <br />Plata County. The breakdown of former maximum disturbedacreage at the Carbon <br />Junction Mine is as follows: <br />Area Description Acreage <br />1. North Pit 7.15 <br />2.
