Public Notice <br />McClane Canyon Mining, LLC, 2352 N 7th Street, Unit B, Grand Junction, CO, 81501, has <br />filed with the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety a complete application for the <br />renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining in Colorado for its McClane Canyon <br />Mine, Mining and Reclamation Permit No. C-1980-004. <br />The McClane Canyon Mine is located approximately 19 miles north of Loma, CO along <br />State Highway 139. East Salt Creek is immediately west of the permit boundary. The <br />permit area is encompassed within the following lands: <br />Township 7 South, Range 102 West, 6th P.M. <br />Section 3: <br />Portions of lot 14 <br />Section 15: <br />All <br />Section 16: <br />E/2 <br />Section 21: <br />E/2, E/2W/2, SW4NW/4, NW/4SW/4 <br />Section 22: <br />All <br />Section 27: <br />N/2 <br />Section 28: <br />NW/4NE/4, NE/4NW/4 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Howard Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps. <br />The approved McClane Canyon mine permit contains 2560.5 acres of land, 160 acres of <br />private surface and 2400.5 acres of Federal surface. Private minerals within the permit area <br />encompass 160 acres with Federal minerals accounting for the balance of 2400.5 acres. <br />A copy of the permit renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S Spruce St., Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the <br />approved permit application document, as well as the permit renewal application, are <br />available at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman St., <br />Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567. Written comments, objections or a request for an <br />informal conference on the proposed permit renewal may be submitted to the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety and must be received by the Division within 30 days after <br />final publication of this notice. <br />
