RECLAMATION PLAN
Exhibit E - AMENDMENT x
Reclamation Plan -
STATEMENT OF APPLICABILITY OF THIS PLAN
This exhibit is designed to completely replace all prior reclamation plans for this site. However,
this plan does include portions of the current reclamation plan that have demonstrated good success.
MAPS THAT ACCOMPANY THIS RECLAMATION PLAN
Exhibit F-1: Reclamation Plan Map
LJ Exhibit F-1: Reclamation: Little Johnson Area (This is identical to the originally
approved Little Johnson Exhibit F-2 by the same title. The Exhibit F-1 in
the Little Johnson Amendment showed the overall plan for the east side.
That has now been included in the Exhibit 17-1 in this amendment. That
map from the Little Johnson Amendment is not included here as it is no
longer relevant.)
FINAL PROPOSED LAND USE
The final land use for this area is somewhat indefinite. With all of the development that
has occurred in the area, it is hard to say what will become of the pit when it is completed. It is
fairly clear that on the west side, mainly the processing plant area, as has been the case since
1992, will become an industrial area for final use. But that area is no longer in the permit.
Nevertheless, this use reflects much of the land use in the surrounding area. The sediment basin
clearly has a more limited final use due to the deep sediment that has been deposited here.
Eventually, this may become firm enough to support buildings, but it is also likely that special
construction techniques will be needed. Until then and for the purposes of this plan, e final land
use selected for this area is as a ildlife habitat/green space with d_of.gra sc&_trees, and
shrubs. It could easily be turned into a local park, but that is not the intent of the reclamation
Daniels Sand Pit Amendment (2008) Exhibit E Page 1 of 22
