As summarized by
the attached Study Plan, TC would work with Metcalf Archaeological Consultants to lay -out, auger, and sample
a number of shallow auger holes in the proposed disturbance areas for the borehole pad and road to evaluate the
presence/absence, and significance of any cultural resource values in these areas.
Given that we will use a small mobile equipment unit (skid -steer), that the auger holes will involve very limited
temporary disturbance (8"-10" auger , approximately 3' deep), that the auger cuttings will be replaced in the
holes after evaluation for any cultural resource values, and that the subject areas will subsequently be disturbed
for road and pad construction, we are not reflecting any separate disturbance area acreage, no drainage controls
will be necessary, and these activites aill not be separately bonded.
This submittal includes revised PAP text and supporting materials. Once you have opportunity to review this
submittal, please feel free to contact me with any questions, or to discuss the submittal and related matters. We
appreciate your attention and assistance.
Best regards,
Jerry Nettleton
Manager En it mental Affairs
cc: M. Berdine/TC
E. Brady/TC
