Rule 4.06.3: Topsoil Storage
Although not part of this focused review, we did observe a recently -worked topsoil stockpile. I
noted that the stockpile was not well protected from wind or water erosion. Rule 4.06.3 requires
topsoil stockpiles to be protected by an effective cover of quick -growing plants or other methods
approved by the Division (such as berms, straw wattles, etc.). This pile appears to have been
recently disturbed in order to spread and /or add additional material. I mentioned to Mr. Roberts
that protection should be accomplished as soon as possible after completing topsoil activities.
Trapper Mining, Inc. routinely uses quick -growing plant species to stabilize topsoil stockpiles.
Programmatic Compliance:
No compliance issues were noted and no enforcement actions were taken as a result of this
inspection.
Figure 1: Pictographs of mounted horsemen and standing warriors, bullet holes evident.
Figure 2: Pictographs of mounted horsemen and standing warriors, bullet holes evident.
3 1 Page
