The weather was clear, and the ground was mostly snow-covered and muddy.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
The upgradient diversion ditch was inspected. It is poorly shaped at the lower end (near the road). At other
locations, it is a trapezoidal ditch, and was measured to be 1' — 2' deep and 6' — 11' wide across the top. Before
the end of January 2016, NECC should discuss the need for improving this ditch with the Division. At the least,
this location needs to be closely monitored for erosion or other problems.
The straw bales on the west side of the site (where adjacent land runoff has caused erosion) require maintenance.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
Other than the small erosion issue on the west side, no erosion was seen on the site. No large bare areas or weed
patches were seen, although snow cover impeded a good assessment.
REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
The reference area was inspected, and no erosion was seen. Snow cover impeded an assessment of bare areas or
weeds.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 4
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 4
