The revisions included MR289, PR10 and PRI 1. Regarding MR289, it was found that
the project would result in no historic properties affected. For PR10 and PR11, your office requested
additional information regarding the nature and extent of potential subsidence effects on two sites (5RT3324
and 5RT3325). The Division requested the permittee (Twentymile Coal, LLC.) to conduct an analysis of
subsidence impacts to these sites. They hired Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc. to conduct an
analysis. On November 4th, 2015 the Division received a letter from Metcalf Archaeological Consultants
with the results of their analysis. Their letter is attached. The Division has reviewed the analysis and
concurs that mitigation measures are not likely necessary for the sites in question. However, we request
that your office review the analysis. This is in response
to concerns raised by CDRMS about sites affected by Twentymile's recent PR10 application for a coal
lease modification. I hope this will help aid in consultation between DRMS, BLM, and SHPO regarding
these sites. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Melissa
Melissa Elkins
https://mail.googl e.com/m ai I/u/0/?ui=2&i k=e29129fcb5&view=pt&search= i nbox&th=151221 a57896659d&si m l=151221 a57896659d 2/3
