Reilley, DRMS November 2015 <br />Document Location: Document Location: M\\Coal\rar\MidTermReviews Page 2 <br />Rule: 2.04.7 (2) Baseline Hydrologic Conditions <br />This is a review of the surface water related sections of the Rule 2.04.7 and includes surface water <br />flow rates, water quality information, location information of waterbodies and discharges into water <br />bodies. <br />The surface water information required by Rule 2.04.7(2) has been adequately provided in: <br />o Exhibit 14 Hydrologic Monitoring Plan Fidel creek Life of Mine Permit (RN12-06) <br />o Map 13A <br />o Section 2.04 of the Permit <br />o Map13 and Map 14 ,15 and 16 <br />o Exhibit 32: Quantity and Quality Modeling Analysis of Surface Water Resources of the Trout <br />Creek Basin <br />o Section 2.05-149 through 2.05-167 <br />Questions regarding Exhibit 32: <br />♦ Describe to what extent Foidel Mine has been able to improve winter water quality <br />and quantity data collection in affected reaches of the Yampa as related to <br />conclusions 1 a, b, and c drawn in Exhibit 32. <br />♦ Describe to what extent a review and update of site-specific regression functions as <br />per conclusion 2 has been undertaken. <br />♦ Please state if additional nodes in the streamflow system have been added or <br />modified. If additions or modifications occurred please state through what <br />permitting action changes were made. (Conclusion 3). <br />♦ Please state a critical review of stream standards as per conclusion 4 has taken <br />place. <br />♦ If a review of stream standards occurred please describe the results of this review <br />and cite, or submit to DRMS the pertinent document. <br />and includes: <br />Surface water quality data available on a varying collection schedule, and DMR's for CDPS Permit Nos. <br />o CO -0027154 <br />o CO -0036684 <br />o CO -0042161 <br />o COG 850051 <br />o COG 850054 <br />o And flow is measured at USGS streamflow monitoring sites 800 and 900. <br />Adequacy questions: <br />♦ Why is dissolved Iron not being monitored for as per Rule 2.04.7 (2)(b)(ii)? <br />Rule: 2.04.8 Baseline Climatological Information <br />Permit section 2.04.8 adequately addresses the requirements of this rule by providing the basic <br />climate data and graphs meeting the requirements of Rule 2.04.8.
