Location of drill holes/wells: A list of holes/wells that remain to be sealed are shown on Table 1 in <br />permit Section 2.05.4. <br />When mining is completed, all of Southfield's mine portals will be sealed to prevent access. Sealing <br />will involve either fabrication of concrete block walls located a minimum of 25 feet inby the portal <br />openings, or 25 linear feet of compacted noncombustible fill. The outside surface of the block walls <br />will be sealed with an MSHA approved sealant to prevent seepage of surface or groundwater through <br />the seal and the block walls will be keyed into mine openings. The void between the seals and the <br />portals will be backfilled with rammed compacted overburden material.
