Volume II, Appendix M, page M-2 contains a design for the referenced outfall (003)
which in the permit is referred to as the "Construction Material' silt fence.
Input values for the pre -mining were obtain from Volume 1, Table 4.2-11, which
referenced the Baseline Vegetation Data from Table 4.5-26.
Input values for the Operational phase were obtained from Volume II, Appendix M, page
M-2.
SedCad has been used to demonstrate that the average annual sediment yield, during
the operational phase of mining, will be less than pre -mining levels with a silt fence in
place.
The Sediment Control demonstration is included as pages M -2(i) - M-2(xiv)
Per the terms of the discharge permit, a DRMS approved sediment control plan must be
in place and submitted to CDPHE, no later than December 1, 2015.
Please call with any questions, and let me know if there is anything I can do to expedite
the process.
Sincerely,
Tamme Bishop, P.E.
Project Engineer
Enclosures
Revised Pages:
Pages 2-49 & 50, M -2(i) - M-2(xiv)
