X a�wa #s�wnwxzm +Yin.xr..l+.ra �r.`y Notice of Proposed Decision The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to approve Bond Release Application No. 1 (SL -1) for the Sunlight Mine, Permit No. C-1981-046. This decision constitutes a full release of recla- mation liability for the Sunlight Mine. Pursuant to Rule 3.03.3(1), the Division is proposing to ter- minate its jurisdiction over this entire coal mining operation. The underground operation is operat- ed by Garfield Energy Corporation under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release ap- plication was submitted by Garfield Energy Cor- poration on September 30, 2014. The Division completed the reclamation at the mine site fol- lowing the permit revocation and bond forfeiture. After a minimum of ten -years following the final seeding at the site, The Division completed two years of vegetation monitoring. The affected ar- ea is located in Garfield County, approximately 11 miles South of Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
