November 4, 2015 C-1981-044/Williams Fork Mines TNL <br />5-P1 dry <br />5-P2 dry <br />5-P5 dry <br />5-P6 dry <br />5-P7 dry <br />The spoil spring was not discharging at the weir (photo) <br />Water treatment facility was dry <br />No issues were noted with ditches or culverts observed. <br />7NA — pump house drainage channel was dry, clear, stable, and lined with grass. This channel leads to 9P3 <br />discharge point. <br />The Williams Fork River was observed just upstream from the confluence of the Yampa where it flows under two <br />rail lines; no debris was built-up against the bridges and no erosional cutting was observed under the rail bridges <br />(photo). <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br />Portal No. 5 appeared stable and vegetated. Portal No. 9 appeared stable and no problems were observed. The <br />waste disposal site was observed and was stable. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Erosion control waddles have been placed at disturbance due to ravine debris removal approved in MR54 (October <br />2, 2015). Five drums with unknown liquids were removed along with various debris including vehicle remains, <br />washing machines, and other metal debris. The contents of the five drums were sent to ACZ Laboratories for <br />analysis. One contained rainwater and the other four contained a hydraulic fluid type oil, which were on site at <br />time of the inspection and currently being priced for disposal off-site. Soil analysis was also conducted in the <br />ravine. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roads were in good conditions.
