The North Fork of the
Gunnison River was flowing above the seasonal average (-180 cfs, per the USGS streamflow measuring site
upstream of Somerset).
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
The longwall was mining in panel E6. The preparation plant was operating to wash raw coal, but was not
expected to be needed beyond the end of the year.
The project to bury the pipeline had not yet begun.
The project to construct the ramps down to the B seam had been awarded to DMC of Utah. The
contractors were on site, but had not yet begun the work.
SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04:
Mike Peacock of MCC expected to verify the locations for the Mine Ventilation Boreholes to be drilled in
2016 within the next week or so, with the help of Dan Gray of USFS. It was understood that the proposed holes
would be permitted via a Minor Revision if their locations were within the already permitted "bubbles and
corridors", shown on the E Seam MDW Drilling Plan Map, and with a Technical Revision if not.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED
N/A
OTHER (SPECIFY)
N/A
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 3
