All monitoring wells within the mine area were completed by Dorchester Coal Company. MW - <br />16 <br />W16 and MW -23 were completed in 1979, and MW -65 was completed in late 1983. Dorchester <br />drilled MW -NW as a dewatering well in 1985, then in 2003 EFCI converted the cased well to a <br />monitoring well as approved in TR -35. <br />All groundwater monitoring activities associated with these wells was subsequently terminated <br />as a result of approval of Technical Revision No. 43 (TR -43). <br />EFCI reviewed available records of construction details for each well.
