Rio Blanco County has requested that we further lower the
cuts north and east of the haul road to improve visibility and safety for the general public
using County Road 65 and mine traffic on the haul road.
No additional disturbance will occur due to this MR. However, additional bonding will be
needed to address the material moved. `Blister 6' will be enlarged to store the material
removed. This blister is entirely within an existing laydown area. Map 58 was modified to
show the potential footprint of the Blister 6 expansion.
Details on the material volumes and replacement distances are provided on the attached
table.
If you have any further questions please contact me at 970-675-4322.
Sincerely,
Scott Wanstedt
Environmental Engineer
swanstedt@deserado.com
enc:
cc: Jeff Dubbert
Jennifer Maiolo — BLM
