EXHIBIT E — Reclamation Plan <br />(a) Description of the type of reclamation proposed to achieve the reclamation of <br />affected land, reasons for reclamation type choice, amount of acreage and <br />general discussion of methods. <br />As stated above in Exhibit D -(d) Mining Plan — Description of Methods, <br />The mine area, as shown on the attached maps, totals approximately 62 acres. <br />Current site use is for pasture/stock grazing. All disturbed areas will be reclaimed to <br />developed water resource (2 pond areas) for evaporation only. All site mining, <br />processing and temporary stockpiling will be within the excavation footprints of the <br />planned ponds until final site activities by the south access gate. Each pond water <br />surface will be required to have a gravel pit well permit and any excavation/pond <br />edges will be a minimum of 100 feet from the Yampa River, Deep Cut Ditch and <br />residential water supply well as per the Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />District Engineer. <br />Mining/process activities may take place in any of the 2 pond footprint areas at <br />anytime in order to establish the initial 2 separate water surfaces as soon as possible <br />for stormwater control and to be able to dewater from one pond area to the other to <br />assist in the mining operations. Stormwater/sediment pond/trenches will initially be <br />dug in each pond footprint (on approximate northern ends of ponds). They can either <br />be expanded into the mining/operations area as aggregate is removed and the pond <br />water surface develops or be kept separated from the main excavation pit areas to be <br />used as sedimentation ponds for that specific pond. Once established, each pond can <br />also be used to receive pumped water from the other, as operations dictate, to assist in <br />mine pit dewatering activities. <br />Concurrent reclamation is planned for all the pond edges as each <br />excavation/pond footprint area is developed over time. The total planned final <br />exposed water surface area for both ponds is 35.9 acres (Pond #1-19.80 ac. and Pond <br />#2 — 16.10 ac.). Excavation depths may range from 0 to +25 feet below ground level <br />(BGL). Ground water levels are seasonal with a possible upper limit of 1.5 to 3 feet <br />(April —June) and a lower limit of>6 feet BGL. The aggregate mining operations will <br />intercept groundwater at an average depth of 4 to 6 feet BGL depending on the <br />ground level elevation (the site is relatively flat) and the seasonal water table <br />fluctuations. Estimated water surface elevation will average 6194 feet AMSL. <br />The size of any operations area would be dependent on the amount of room <br />needed for any production stockpiles for large volume projects.
