Gary Harding of Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) accompanied the
entire inspection. Weather was cloudy/foggy and raining and the mine site was wet at the time of the inspection.
The Bowie No. 2 Mine is an active underground mine. BRL has recently completed Longwall panel 17 and the
longwall miner is idle in an effort to allow development of future longwall panels. Continuous miners are in the
process of developing panel 18. No activities were on-going at the Gob piles due to weather conditions. No trains
were observed loading or unloading at the time of the inspection. Currently, revisions SL -1, TR -99 and TR -105
are under review by the Division.
BRL continues to address all maintenence items in a timely and through manner. All maintence items have been
addressed and no additional items were identified during this inspection.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS— Rule 5.02.4(1):
All records were inspected at the Bowie No. 2 Mine offices. Pond B clean-out was near completion
with the only remaining task to be a minimal amount of clean-up on the embankment. Pond F clean-out had been
initiated on the west inlet of the pond. BRL personnel stated that attempts will be made to complete the clean-out
before winter. Pond F water was being pumped to Pond K in order to keep clean-out efforts on-going.
