Multiple installations of dozer basins should be used to achieve the desired capacity. <br />Generally, one or more dozer basins will probably be needed for each year's reclamation <br />activities depending on the drainage area. <br />Each dozer basin typically has rock check dams on the inlet and the outlet of the dozer <br />basin. These function to provide inlet and outlet erosion control. Dimensions, heights, <br />and rock placement for these check dams should be as previously described. <br />Figure 10 provides the Annual Sediment Yield from a 10 Year, 24 Hour storm as a result <br />of Table 2. Notice how the quantity of sediment generated drops off sharply prior to the <br />second year of reclamation once a vegetative cover begins to be established. <br />11 <br />
