remained fairly constant throughout Che last year (see Figures 2.7=29g, 2.7-29h and
2.7.-29i):
Water levels in well GP -3 exhibit recovery of its water -level elevation from
February, 1986 to March, '1986. Water levels have gradually increased due to flow
through a broken valve during the last six months. -
Figure 2.7-29h presents the water -level elevations for the HI well (GP -7) in
the far eastern edge of Trapper. Water levels have been very steady in the HI
aquifer in this area for the last year. The initial water level is thought to have
been affected by the drilling of well GP -7. -
The water -level plot of well GC -1 in Figure 2.7-29i presents a long-time
• period of data for the HI aquifer in this area. The water -level mean for the period
of record for well GC -1 has been 6799 feet above MSL. A significant decline in the
water -level occurred from mid -1982 through 1983 with a significant- rise following
this decline—The water level variations are thought to be caused by variations in
the recharge to the HI aquifer.
CJ
Water -level elevation contours have been developed for the HI aquifer in the
Trapper Mine area and presented in Map M54B. Contours on this map reflect the
September 1986 water .levels. Gradients in the eastern portion of the permit area
are close to those observed for the KLM aquifer in this area of 0.14 ft/ft.
Gradients -are -much flatter in the area of well GP -3. The HI aquifer discharges to
the land surface to the south of well GP -3 and affects gradients in this area.
2-523 u REVISED FEB 13 '87
