PERMIT #: M-1978-078-SG
INSPECTOR’S INITIALS: AME
INSPECTION DATE: August 27, 2015

during periods of inactivity. Eroded material does not appear to be leaving the site, as the pit has no positive
drainage. Overall, the site appeared to be stable with native grasses, some forbs, and annual weeds volunteering
across disturbed areas. A cottonwood tree is growing on the pit floor, which the operator intends to avoid
disturbing.

The approved reclamation plan calls for grading all disturbed slopes to 4H:1V or flatter, replacing an average of
6 inches of topsoil, and revegetating the site to rangeland. The recently approved Reclamation Plan Map (TR-
05) shows that slopes will be graded to 3H:1V or flatter, and only the portion of the haul road located inside of
the permit boundary will be reclaimed. The portion of the haul road located between the permit boundary and
Co Rd 46 (to not be reclaimed) is approximately 185 feet in length. Because it is unclear in the permit record
whether or not the full length of the haul road will be reclaimed, the Division recommends the operator provide
a signed and dated letter from the landowner confirming his agreement with leaving the small portion of the
haul road unreclaimed (as indicated in the revised Reclamation Plan Map).

No problems were observed during the inspection.
