COMMENTS
A complete inspection was conducted by Rob Zuber of DRMS on September 23 - 24, 2015. The NECC employee
who participated in the on -the -ground field inspection was Vince Massarotti. Louis Head participated in office
discussions, including the records check.
The weather was warm and clear. The ground was dry.
Recent activity has been focused on moving material from the DWDA2 pile to the RDA, as well as regular
maintenance work. NECC plans to put in a new culvert draining to ditch D15 (next to Pond 001A) in the fall of
2015.
EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE — Rule 4.09
Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization:
Rills are evident on the side of DWDA2, and material has been removed from the west end (upgradient
end). The shape of the pile is not per design during this work and must be graded in the near future. The sump
below this area (directly above C13) needs to be cleaned. DRMS staff will discuss the option of enlarging this
sump.
The soil storage area was inspected, and no erosion or other problems were identified. The timing of the
reclamation is not currently known by the Division inspector. NECC should provide this information to the
Division, if it is available.
