• 4.4.2.5 Landscaping <br />After grading, all areas were landscaped. This consisted of seeding the disturbed <br />areas with a seed mix detailed in Tables 4.4-3a and 4.4-3b. The seed mix shown in the <br />former table will be for crop/pasture land (see Figure 4.7-2). This mixture has been <br />recommended by the local COOP as having proved to be the most successful in the <br />immediate area for hay crop and livestock pasture. While the seeding rate, by DMG <br />standards, may be high, such density was recommended by the local farmers, DOW <br />personnel and the local COOP, all having an extensive experience in this area. The <br />Operator, as owner or the mine site and contiguous lands, has recently reclaimed <br />approximately 25 acres of high density sage brush rangeland immediately to the east <br />of the disturbed area.
