TR -43 Ade 0a Responses Page 5 August 25 2015
2) b) DRMS concern
No concerns stated in the Division's Adequacy Review.
2) c) i) DRMS concern
Please provide the full data set of surface water flow measurements from MC1, MC2, NCI, NC2
and SAI. (EFCI included data from 2000 to 2013 in the TR43 submittal, but the entire dataset,
including data from AHRs prior to 2000, should be listed for consideration).
EFCI response
EFCI has updated surface flow measurements from MCI, MC2, NCI, NC2 and SAI , through the 2nd
quarter of 2015, on the "Streamllow Measurements" table attached herein with this submittal in
Appendix A. All available data are shown for each monitoring point from the time each was approved
for monitoring.
,' 2) c) ii) DRMS concern
Please anab= all of the available data for long term trends in surface water flows in Magpie
Creek, Newlin Creek and Second Alkali Creek As above, the 2015 Weaver Analysis is
appropriate in its approach. It should be updated when TR43 is resubmitted.
EFCI response
EFCI reviewed the surface water flow data collected during the second quarter 2015 along with all
previous available flow data for subject creeks. Based on the new data and review of the "2015 Weaver
Analysis" (previously submitted) of the impact of the Southfield Mine to surface water flows, the
aforementioned analysis is accurate.
2) d) i) DRMS concern
The full data set of surface water quality measurements from MC1, MC2, NC1, NC2 and SA1
should be analyzed. The analysis should track representative water quality parameters through
time (for example TSS and TITS), and allow the identification of any trends that may exist in the
data.
EFCI response
EFCI has updated surface water quality measurements from MCI, MC2, NCI, NC2 and SAI , through
the 2nd quarter of 2015, on the individual creek quality water quality graphs included herein with this
submittal in Appendix A. All available data are shown for each monitoring point from the time each
was approved for monitoring.
EFCI reviewed the surface water quality data collected during the second quarter 2015 along with all
previous available data for subject creeks. Based on the new data and review of the "2015 Weaver
Analysis" (previously submitted) of the impact of the Southfield Mine to the quality of surface water,
the aforementioned analysis is accurate.
