EXHIBIT Q <br />NOTICE TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />OF THE BURLINGTON CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />KIT CARSON COUNTY, COLORADO <br />Kit Carson County is applying to convert an existing 9.50 —acre pit to 17.50 acre Construction Materials <br />Regular 112 Operation Reclamation Permit from the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (the <br />"Board") to conduct the extraction of construction materials in Kit Carson County. The Beattie Pit is <br />located at or near Section 7, Township 7S, Range 46W, 6t' Prime Meridian, in Kit Carson County. This <br />conversion application would change the existing pit from a 110 to a 112 permit. The attached <br />information is being provided to notify you of the location and nature of the proposed operation. The <br />entire application is on file with the Division of Minerals and Geology (the "Division") and the local <br />county clerk and recorder. <br />The applicant/operator proposes to reclaim the affected land to pastureland use. Pursuant to Section <br />34-32.5-116 (4)(m), C.R.S., the Board may confer with the local Soil Conservation Districts before <br />approving of the post -mining land use. Accordingly, the Board would appreciate your comments on the <br />proposed operation.
