September 15, 2015 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine TNL <br />No. 3 was holding water, but not discharging to the flume. The natural spring in East Pyeatt drainage had a steady <br />flow to the flume (photo) but no water from the ponds was discharging. <br />Middle Pyeatt Ponds 1, 2, and 3 appeared stable. Pond 1 had a small amount of water and established cattails. <br />Ponds 2 and 3 were dry. Flume was dry <br />West Pyeatt pond No.1 was holding water but not discharging. West Pyeatt Pond No. 2 was dry. Sediment markers <br />were noted. Culverts above West Pyeatt were clear. <br />No Name Ponds No. 2, 4, and 5 were holding water and discharging to the flume. Pond embankments appeared <br />stable. <br />Far East Buzzard Pond was dry. Sediment marker was present. Spillways were clear. <br />Ute pond was holding water but not discharging. A sediment marker is present. <br />Coyote Pond was holding some water but not discharging. The primary and emergency spillways were clear and <br />appeared functional. The dam appeared stable. Mine sign at Coyote Pond was present. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Two draglines were operating in the L pit area. The Baby Doe was at the bottom of L- pit, and the Molly Brown <br />was at the top of L -pit. The Queen Anne was not operating. <br />Coal was being removed from the H seam in L -pit (photo). <br />The Ash disposal area appeared stable no standing water or evidence of runoff to or from the ash was observed. <br />East panel ready line was in good condition no garbage or dust was observed. <br />The site weather station was not functioning at the time of inspection and was being repaired. <br />Permit markers and the mine sign were present at the west end of the permit boundary. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roads were in good condition at the time of inspection with some mud from rain the night before. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Page 4 of 8 <br />
