Phone 719-288-1402 <br />3500 State Hwy 120 Fax: 719-784-3470 <br />Florence, CO 81226 www.hoicim.com/us <br />Subject: Status of Reclamation for the Slab Canyon Quarry (M-1977-347), Boettcher Limestone <br />Quarry (M-1977-348) and the Boettcher Sandstone Quarry (M-1977-345) Sandstone Quarry <br />Dear Mr. Scott: <br />This letter is to give you a status update regarding the quarries indicated above. <br />• Slab Canyon Quarry - The reclamation project was awarded to C&H Excavating from <br />Ault, Colorado. Reclamation work was initiated on September 1 Qth at the site and is <br />expected to be completed by the end of October 2015. <br />Boettcher Limestone Quarry — <br />o The re -seeding of the slope on the south east end of the permitted area has been <br />awarded to C&H Excavating and will be re -seeded by the end of November 2015. <br />o Weed Management through Larimer County Weed District, has been active on the <br />property since 2011 and reports have been submitted each year to the DRMS. I <br />am attaching the report from 2014. Weed spraying has been initiated during the <br />spring and summer months and a second application will be completed in the fall. <br />The final report from the weed control application will be sent to the DRMS once <br />received. <br />o A meeting the State Engineer's Office personnel was held on site on August 27th at <br />which time all information relative to hydrological studies was shared. A <br />determination was requested regarding the ponding of water and should be <br />received by the end of September. <br />
