k u C L L <br />AUG 0 0 2015 <br />DIVISION OF RECLAMATION <br />MINING AND SAFETY <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation <br />Mining and Safety <br />Mr Tyler V O Donnell <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 215 <br />Denver CO 80203 <br />Phone 303 866 3567 <br />Mr O Donnell <br />RE 5A Aggregate LLC Deer Trail Pit Permit No M 1988 0910 <br />Theodore and Jackie Stieghorst <br />6250 S County Rd 213 <br />Deer Trail CO 80105 <br />Phone 303 769 4514 <br />I do indeed have several comments and objections regarding the proposed mining operation <br />at the Deer Trail Pit <br />The objections listed below relate directly to a shared set of critically important concerns we <br />have concerning this proposed operation The first is for our property values and the second is <br />the destruction of our quality of life we have so greatly enjoyed over the last decade or so <br />As you are aware the 2008 financial crises caused an abundance of financial heart ache to <br />millions and we too were affected watching in horror as our appraised property value was cut in <br />half of pre 2008 levels leaving us woefully upside down in our mortgage I fear that this proposed <br />operation would further drive down the saleable value of our home and property Even with the <br />explosion of real estate in the Denver and closest surrounding communities it would leave us with <br />no viable options to sell as we planned on retiring and moving within the next several years <br />1 Ingress and egress How is the operation planning on removing the material and will they <br />use our current driveway or the old gravel pit road which traverses my property In either <br />case the increased traffic from the gravel trucks will quickly deteriorate the already rarely <br />maintained county roads of 213 and 38 and readily do the same to our driveway making <br />them unsafe and difficult to navigate especially in an emergency <br />2 The excavation and transportation of materials increase will the dust particulate levels on <br />our property causing more respiratory issues for my wife and me <br />3 The increased noise pollution will destroy the serenity and peace my wife and I have shared <br />here for over 10 years <br />4 Security The fact of leaving both light and heavy construction equipment in a remote and
