Thank you for your timely submittal. Monitoring on North Thompson Creek was
conducted with the correct frequency and parameters. The parameters include; pH, Total Dissolved
Solids, Total Suspended Solids, Bicarbonate, Calcium, Chloride, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Sodium,
Sulfate, Zinc, and Copper. Sampling was conducted in May and September of 2014. The samples are in
compliance with the current monitoring program of the approved permit application (page 3-86). No
water discharged from 001 to North Thompson Creek during 2014. All the water was contained in Pond 9
and the Refuse Pond. Seepage water from the No. 1 Mine was not sampled because the water is
maintained on site.
The Division finds the 2014 Annual Hydrology Report to be in compliance with the Rules and the approved
permit application. The Division has no questions or further comments. If you have any questions, please
contact me at (303) 866-3567 x8144.
Sincerely,
Clayton Wein
Environmental Protection Specialist
pF cp1
w-\
¢ "V 9d
0
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining. state. co. us
l
*
John W.
