<br />81501, has submitteda complete ap-
<br />plication for a technical revision to
<br />the DiWalon of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safetq for its Munger Canyon
<br />Mine and Loma Loadout, Mining and
<br />Reclamation Permit No. C-1981-020.
<br />Proposed technical revision no. 26
<br />incorporates changes requested as
<br />part of Midterm Review No. 7. Chan-
<br />ges include revising references to
<br />the Loma Loadout and removal of
<br />two Loma Loadout maps, updating
<br />the text to reflect reclamation of the
<br />sediment pond, and removal of the
<br />alternate sedimentation control
<br />structures at the mine portal area, re-
<br />fuse pile and lower topsoil stockpile.
<br />The Munger Canyon Mine is located
<br />approximately 18 miles north of
<br />Loma, CO along Stale Highway 139.
<br />East Salt Creek is located on wes-
<br />tern portion of the permit boundary.
<br />Most of the surface of the permit
<br />area is owned by the United States.
<br />The permit area Is encompassed
<br />within portions of Sections 27, 28
<br />and 29 of Township 7 South, Range
<br />102 West, 6th P.M. A portion of the
<br />permit area in section 29 is owned
<br />by #11 Enterprises.
<br />The Loma Loadout Is approximately 1
<br />one-half mile east of Loma, Colora-
<br />do. The surface of the permit area Is
<br />owned by the Union Pacific Rail-
<br />road. The permit area Is oncompas-
<br />sed within portions of the SW14SW/4
<br />of Section 34 Township 2 North,
<br />Range 3 West, Ute Meridian and Por -
<br />Ilona of the NE14NW14 of Section 3
<br />Township 1 North, Range 3 West,
<br />Ute Meridian.
<br />The mine site sections are con-
<br />tained within the U.S. Geological
<br />Survey 7.5 minute Howard Canyon
<br />and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle
<br />maps. The Loadout sections are
<br />contained within the U.S. Geological
<br />Survey 7.5 minute Mack Quadrangle
<br />Map.
<br />A copy of the technical revision ap-
<br />Plicatlon is available for public
<br />mspec,tion at the Mesa County
<br />Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S
<br />Spruce St., Grand Junction, CO. A
<br />copy of the approved permit applica-
<br />tion document, as well as the techni-
<br />cal revision application, are avail-
<br />able at the Denver office of the Divi-
<br />sion of Reclamation, Mining and
<br />Safety (Room 215,1313 Sherman
<br />Sl., Denver, C080203,(3031366-
<br />3567). Written comments regarding
<br />this application may be submitted to
<br />and additional information may be
<br />obtained from the Denver Office of
<br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and
<br />Safety. Written comments must be
<br />received by the Division of Reclama-
<br />tion, Mining and Safety within 10
<br />days after the date of this publica-
<br />tion in order to be considered.
