AGGREGATE
Mr. Tyler O'Donnell, Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety INDUSTRIES
September 3, 2015
Page Two
address any changed conditions encountered throughout the year. Enclosed as an
example of and verification of AI's weed control activities are records from 2013 and
2014. Some of these actually include the Hazeltine site since in AI's records it is part of
our Thornton operation.
In addition to ongoing evaluation by AI's weed contractor, wetland mitigation areas are
evaluated annually by professional ecologists in accordance with Corps of Engineer's
404 Permit No. 199980194 monitoring requirements. Generally any weed populations
noted by the ecologists have already been noted and incorporated into the weed
contractor's plan; however, if ecologists have noted anything that is not already being
addressed, their recommendations are shared with the weed contractor and incorporated.
Please advise me if the Division has any other questions or concerns to be addressed to
facilitate approval of TR -054.
Very truly yours,
Connie N.
