The application was determined to be complete on August 11, 2015. One comment
letter has been received for the proposed action from the Colorado State Historic Preservation Officer
(SHPO) stating that it is the opinion of the SHPO that a finding of no historic properties affected is
appropriate for the proposed action in TR -104. The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
has completed its preliminary adequacy review of the proposed technical revision. Please respond to the
following comments or concerns as necessary:
The TR -104 application BRL included proposed revised pages 2.05-45i through 45x. These pages
identify and update the status of underground openings, methane drainage wells, exploration
holes, wells, shafts and portals. A number of these openings are associated with bond release
no. 1 (SL -1) and were inspected by the Division during the week of August 3, 2015. After review
by the Division, the Division included a table in the August 3, 2015 inspection report that
outlined the status of each location. A portion of the information included in the Division's table
should be included in the proposed pages. Below is a copy of the sites associated with SL -1 for
reference. Due to the requirement for the Division to inspect any of the drill sites to
determine if the sites meet Rule 4.05.2(2), the date when a site was inspected by the
Division should be included. In addition, due to the fact that SL -1 has not been approved,
the vegetation status of a number of the sites could be revised to read, bond release status
or bond release status applied for.
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
