Minerals Company, LLC., 2352 N. 7th Street, Unit B, Grand Junction, CO 81501, has submitted an application for a Technical Revision to the Colo- rado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety (DBMS), for its Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, mining permit No. C-1984-065. The proposed revision demonstrates that a six and one half acre area that will be disturbed during the reclamation of Sedi- ment Pond A will not increase the sediment loss in comparison to pre -mining, adjacent conditions. The mine is located approximately 3 miles east of New Castle, south of the Colorado River in the Grand Hogback region in Garfield County. The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine permit area is located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Storm King Mountain and New Castle Quadrangle maps. The mine permit area is located in portions of the fol- lowing described lands: Township 6 South, Range 91 West, 6th PM Sec. 1:Those lands in the NEY4 yet south of the right-of-way of County Road 335, Lots 3 and 4, SY , S1/2NWY4 Sec. 12: N1/ N EY4 Township 6 South, Range 90 West, 6th PM Sec. 5: S'/ SWY4 Sec. 6:AII lands south of the right-of-way of Coun- ty Road Sec. 7:NEY4, NYzNWY4 Sec. 8:N1/, NYzSEY4, NEY4SW1/4 Sec. 9:S'/2NWY4, SWY4 Sec. 15:NWY4 Sec. 16:NYzNEY4, NEY4NWY4 containing 2484.3 acres more or less.
