E. <br />RE: Dixie Mine, File No. M-2015-028 <br />Applicant/ Operator: Teton Drilling, Inc. <br />Contact: Mike Jones, (720) 218-6484 <br />Section 7, Twp 4 South, Rng 73 West Et Section 12, Twp 4 South, Rng 74 West, 6th P.M., <br />Park County <br />CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL <br />® Exposure of ground water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The applicant will need to document that the water used at the site was obtained from a legal source, <br />or was diverted in priority under a water right decreed for such mining/ industrial use. <br />® If stormwater runoff is intercepted by this operation and is not diverted or captured in priority, it must <br />be released to the stream system within 72 hours; otherwise the operator will need to make <br />replacements for evaporation. <br />COMMENTS: The subject application is for an underground mining operation on less than 5 permitted acres <br />located approximately 5 miles north of Idaho Springs. The primary commodity to be mined at the site is <br />electrum. The site is proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of forestry upon completion of the mining <br />operation. <br />Neither ground water nor surface water is expected to be encountered during the proposed operation. There is <br />no known discharge from the mine. <br />The application estimated that 4,800 gallons of water would be utilized during the mining operation for <br />material processing. The water will be trucked in to the site and stored in water storage tanks with a capacity <br />of 2,000 to 4,000 gallons. It is anticipated that 100 to 400 gallons of water per day will be consumed by the <br />crushing and shaker table process through a combination of evaporation and dirt absorption.
