did find some seam connecting clamps high up on the tank that were loose. JD tightened the
clamps.
On Friday, August 14, 2015, JD was at the Rodman's when the tanks were filled to see if
tightening the clamps solved the leak problem. The tanks were filled into the entrance neck (the
tank is not supposed to be filled this high). The water leaked to the bottom of the entrance neck,
top of tank, but no further. JD stated that this would be expected since the neck is not water tight.
JD Enterprises went back to the Rodman's August 20, 2015 with a mini -excavator and covered
up the cistern entrances again. As far as we can ascertain at this time — there was never a
significant leak issue with the cisterns and any minor leakage has been corrected.
With these considerations in mind, we hope you can understand our disappointment in the
manner in which the Inspection Report ignored the City's ongoing efforts to mitigate any
impacts on the hydrologic balance in the area. The City has continuously and proactively
addressee all issues consistent with our obligations.
The City may request a meeting in the future to discuss these items in more detail.
Sincerely
Eric Reckentine
Deputy Director Water Resources
City of Greeley
