Ms. Jennifer Lindahl, P.E. Page 4 of 4
June 5, 2015
although only 59.05 acre-feet were projected to be required to meet replacement obligations for the
current plan period. Once the necessary repairs to LRM Pond Nos. 1 and 2 are completed and
replacements can once again be made under case no. 2000CW142, the entire 99 acre-feet will be
available for use in other plans. Delivery of the leased water will take place at Loveland's
wastewater treatment plant (WDID 0402300), or at another location agreed upon by Loveland and
LRM.
State Engineer's Office Opinion
Based on the above, this office has no objection to LRM's proposal to add additional land to
its mining permit and add a 215` pit at its Larimer Pit site, so long as Pit No. 21 is included in an
approved substitute water supply plan or decreed plan for augmentation prior to consumption of any
ground water at the pit. LRM's proposal to submit a request for a substitute water supply plan for
Pit No. 21 six months in advance of commencement of mining at Pit No. 21 is acceptable to this
office.
If there are any questions regarding this matter, please contact Sarah Brucker at this office.
Sincerely,
I
Tractyyo f, P.E.
Water Resources Engineer
Attachments: Tables 1 Et 2
TLK/srb: Pit 21
K
