In accordance with TR -03 regarding <br />groundwater monitoring at the site, also enclosed is quarterly groundwater measurement data collected by <br />Al as well as quality monitoring and measurement data collected at the site and submitted to Colorado <br />Department of Public Health and Environment as required under the recycling license held by Broda Inert <br />Fill. <br />As noted in previous annual reports, mining has been completed in all cells/phases of the Platte Valley <br />operation except the processing plant area and concrete batch plant site (Cell 5/Phase 5). These areas will <br />continue to operate with material being conveyed from Al's Wattenberg Lakes operation (Permit M- <br />2004-051). It is anticipated that mining within Phase 5 areas will not occur until all material from the <br />Wattenberg site has been processed through the Platte Valley plant. <br />Backfilling of Phase 4 continued during the permit year ending July 16, 2015, and this activity will <br />continue throughout the life of the mine in accordance with the permit reclamation plan and the inert fill <br />import notice approved by the Division on November 15, 2005. <br />Additional backfill in Phase 2 will progress this year and continue in future years to establish a 200 -foot <br />offset from the river in accordance with TR -04. Additional backfilling in Phase 2 in future years will <br />create an approximate 200 -foot wetland bench to establish a total 400 -foot offset from the river in <br />accordance with the approved reclamation plan. <br />Backfilling along the north boundary of Phase 3 will progress to restore flood damaged land adjacent to <br />the river in accordance with TR -05. Monitoring and management for weeds in previously seeded areas is <br />ongoing. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Connie N.
