Dear Wally,
I would like to officially request to be able to attend the pre -hearing conference by telephone, whenever it is
scheduled.
I definitely would prefer not to schedule the PHC on Aug. 17 as I have an important and lengthy meeting in the
middle of the day, so it would be better for me to have it on another day altogether, or to have it early in the
morning if it stays on the 17th.

Attached file contains a copy of the Division's notice of the Formal Board Hearing and Pre -hearing Conference
for consideration of the petitions for appeal of the Division's decision to approve MD -3 at the Hansen Uranium
Project, NOI No. P-2009-025.
Pursuant to Rule 5.1.3(d)(III), the Division is mandated to schedule the petitions for consideration during the next
available Board meeting, August 26-27, 2015.
Given the complexity of the issues the Division has determined a Pre -hearing Conference is warranted. The
Division has tentatively scheduled the Pre -hearing Conference for August 17, 2015, beginning at 1:00 pm,
located at the Division's office in Denver. As noted in the attached correspondence, participation in the Pre -
hearing Conference is mandatory and may occur in person, or by an authorized representative, or by phone if
such request is received timely (due Monday, August 10).
Given the short time frames imposed under Rule 5.1.3(d)(111), the schedule is tight. Please let us know
immediately of any conflicts with the August 17 date for the Pre -hearing Conference. At this time the Division
cannot commit to rescheduling the Pre -hearing Conference, but will attempt to accommodate as necessary to
ensure full participation.
