uypsum Kancn Hit 5vv5H Page 2 of 6
August 11, 2015
Colorado River Water Conservation District ("CRWCD"). In order to make replacements for the
additional uses at the site, United has amended one of the original leases with the CRWCD.
Depletions
The water uses at the Gypsum Ranch Pit as described in Case No. 2002CW211 include
industrial uses for sand and gravel washing, dust control, concrete production, pond
evaporation, truck and equipment washing, and domestic uses. During the requested plan
period, the depletions that will be replaced by this SWSP are limited to additional water use for
aggregate production and dust control at the site. You have estimated the additional water use
for aggregate production and dust control to be approximately 10.0 acre-feet above the decreed
volumes identified in the augmentation plan in Case No. 2002CW211. The volume of depletions
specified in Case No. 2002CW211 and the estimated volume of depletions for the additional
water uses are summarized in the table below:
Uses
Decreed Amount
(acre-feet)
Additional Water in the
SWSP acre-feet
Total
(acre-feet)
Aggregate Production
5.8 associated with
200,000 tons
1.5 associated with
100,000 tons
7.4 associated with
300,000 tons
Dust Control
6.5
8.5
15.0
Concrete Production
11
0
11
Truck Washing
0.70
0.7
Pond Evaporation
13.4
0
13.4
Domestic
0.05
0
0.05
Total
37.55
10.0
47.6
The attached Table 1 provides a monthly breakdown of the depletions. The depletions
described in Case No. 2002CW211 total 37.5 acre-feet per year; the additional depletions for
aggregate production and dust control are estimated to be 1.5 acre-feet per year and 8.5 acre-
feet per year, respectively. The total additional water use to be replaced under this SWSP is
10.0 acre-feet/year.
Replacements
The Gypsum Ranch Pit will continue to use the historical consumptive use credits from
the dry -up of historically irrigated lands under the C M Stremme and Gates Ditch during the
irrigation season, as decreed in Case No. 2002CW211. The amounts of the C M Stremme and
Gates Ditch priorities that have been dedicated to the existing augmentation plan in Case No.
2002CW211 are listed in the table below:
Case
Priority
Appropriation
Adjudication
in Case No.
2002CW211
Number
Number
Date
Date(cfs)
=DecreedAmount
CA 385
142
06/05/1886
_05/31/1891
03/05/1901
..436
0.436
CA 385
160
03/05/1901
0.17
0.093
0.093
