Remaining Reclamation
Topsoil Stockpiles 4, 7, and 8
Topsoil Stockpile # 4
This topsoil pile was slated to be used in reclamation of the Ewing # 1 aggregate operation
to the northwest of the pile, but was never used. During the 2008 renewal, there was
discussion regarding this pile, and Oakridge Energy proposed that it be left in place as a
distinct landform (page 5-20). Based on the Division's approval of RNO3, and the language
of page 5-20, there is no further reclamation need for the topsoil in this stcokpile at the
mine, and as this topsoil stockpile is stable and blends into the surrounding landscape, it
will remain in place.
Topsoil Stockpile # 7
This topsoil stockpile is excess to the reclamation at the Carbon Junction Mine. It has been
stabilized with vegetation for over 25 years and blends into the adjacent topography. A
discussion of the nature of the pile and proposal to leave the pile as—is, in- place, was
provided to the Division in the PAR response of July 2, 2008 (RNO3). There is no further
need for the topsoil in this stockpile, nor a need to reclaim it as part of this permit.
Topsoil Stockpile # 8 (immediately southeast of Sediment Pond 001)
This topsoil pile was entirely used in the December 2008 reclamation of the sediment
control system and sediment ponds.
they aFe ne lenger- Fequir-ed and they Mve been regraded. In the event that there is topsoil in excess of that required to replace a
maximum of 12 -18 inches of topsoil on the disturbed areas of the Carbon Junction Mine, excess
topsoil may be replaced on adjacent disturbed and/or reclaimed areas owned by Oakridge Energy
on Ewing Mesa to facilitate needs under the approved post - mining land uses. Until it is used,
any excess topsoil will remain stabilized in one or more topsoil stockpiles.
Abridged Permit Document 5 -26 May 2010
Text Revised TR16
..
3 MW
they aFe ne lenger- Fequir-ed and they Mve been regraded.
