Explosives and Blasting <br />There are no explosives used or stored on -site. As the mine is permanently reclaimed, <br />e <br />there is no anticipated need for explosives at the site. Should such a need arise, OEI will <br />revise and update the blasting information prior to any use of explosives. <br />2 05 3(7) Coal Handling Structures <br />All coal handling structures were removed from the mine site or reclaimed during 2006. <br />2.05.3(§) Coal Processing Waste <br />No coal processing waste was produced by the Carbon Junction Mine. Waste coal was <br />confined to the North and South Pit and Equipment Yard. All waste coal was covered by <br />a minimum of four feet of non - toxic, non - combustible cover during final reclamation in <br />2006. <br />No slurry ponds or wash slurries are proposed or were constructed as a part of the mining <br />in this plan. No significant coal fines were generated as a part of the mining activity. No <br />pit dewatering took place during the life of the mine. <br />Settling Ponds <br />No coal settling ponds were planned or constructed for the Carbon Junction operations. <br />Backfilling of Processing Waste <br />No processing waste exists for disposal at the carbon Junction Mine. <br />2.05 3(9) Underground Develoament Waste <br />The Carbon Junction Mine did not produce any underground development waste. <br />2 05 3(10) Return of Coal Processing Waste to Abandoned Workings <br />The Carbon Junction Mine did not return any coal processing waste to underground <br />workings. <br />• <br />Abridged Permit Document 5 -19 Feb 2008 <br />
