The application was called complete for review on August 25, 2015. The following items will
need to be addressed prior to the approval of the revision.
1. Proposed revised page 2.04-9.1 is missing information from the currently approved page. The
section discussing the 15 -Left rock dust tank installation and 16 -Left utility borehole is missing
currently approved information regarding the 5MN Cement Borehole and Pipeline from MR283
and MR288. Please revise this page to include the missing information.
2. Proposed revised page 2.05-17.3 is missing information from the currently approved page. The
top of the page is missing information regarding field operations for the 2012 WMD seismic
survey. Given this, information from the currently approved page 2.05-17.4 has moved up on the
document and is now on the revised page 2.05-17.3. Please revise this page to include the
missing information and ensure that the text follows with the previous and next page.
3. Revised page 2.04-9.1 indicates Twentymile Coal, LLC. (TC) intends to drill 36 potential
coreholes. Revised page 2.05-17.3 indicates TC intends to drill up to 46 coreholes. Based on the
Division's review of the previous revisions regarding the Wolf Creek Reserve Coal Corehole
project, with the approval of MR287, TC will have approval to drill 46 coreholes. Please clarify
the discrepancy between the two revised pages.
4. The Division has reviewed the Cultural Resource Survey submitted to the Division on August
21, 2015 by Matcalf Archaeology. The survey covered the proposed drill hole WC -030 area.
However, it did not cover the three strips of land proposed as exploration zones depicted on
Figure EX52-F7 submitted with the application. Based on our telephone conversation yesterday
and an e-mail you sent to me depicting the land that has been surveyed for cultural resources, it
appears this area has been surveyed. However, the Division cannot locate the results of a survey
within the Foidel Creek Mine Permit Confidential Exhibit. Please submit a copy of the cultural
resources survey report(s) that covers these three areas to be include in Confidential Exhibit 6L.
OF COLO
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us I * I *i
John W.
