COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of (Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
August 17, 2015
Clint Beck
Pete Lien & Sons, Inc.
P.O. Box 440
Rapid City, SD 55701
RE: Roberts Quarry; DRMS File No. M-1977-301; Corrective Action Follow -Up
Dear Mr. Beck,
During the inspection of the Roberts Quarry conducted on June 18, 2015, the Division cited a
problem pursuant to Construction Materials Rule 6.2.1(1), 6.4.3, and 6.4.6 for failure to have an
approved set of Mining and Reclamation Plan Maps on file which depict the approved permit
boundary.
On August 17, 2015, Colorado Lien Company provided the Division with a copy of Mining Plan
Map which depicts the 360 acre permit boundary. The map was submitted to the Division as a
part of Technical Revision No. 2 (TR02) in 1998. As cited in the above referenced inspection
report, the Division noted that the original permit application specified a permit area of 90 acres.
However, the Division has determined the permit area is 360 acres and is satisfied that the map
associated with TR02 accurately depicts the approved permit boundary. Therefore, no further
action is required by Colorado Lien Company and this matter is considered to be resolved.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at (303)866-3567 x8116.
Sincerely,
Michael A.
