Mr. Harry Ranney with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(Division) took the photographs. I, Jared Ebert with the Division reviewed the photographs and prepared <br />this report. <br />The upper coal storage area was observed. The pile and surrounding area appeared stable. The PECOCO <br />pond and upper sump was holding water. The surrounding roads and road embankments appear graded <br />and maintained. <br />Figure 1. The substation and equipment <br />storage pads and embankments appeared stable. The slopes surrounding the portal area appeared stable. <br />The slump noted above the eastern most portal during the May 2015 inspection was observed. Mr. Scott <br />Cowman with the Peabody Sage Creek Mine indicated via e-mail that the slump has been evaluated. <br />
