Mining and Safety <br />1313 Shermari Street, Roam 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />August 7, 2015 <br />ChristinaStark <br />U.S. Bureau of Land Management <br />Grand Junction Field Office <br />2815 H Road <br />Grand Junction, CO81506 <br />Re: Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine (Permit No. C-1984-065) <br />Technical Revision No. 19 (TR -19) <br />Incorporate Sedimentation Control Plan for Reclamation Activites. <br />Dear Ms. Stark: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on August 7, 2015 an <br />application to revise coal mining operations at the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine was considered <br />complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by C.B. Minerals Company, LLC. <br />All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date <br />of filing. <br />This application, Technical Revision 19 (TR 19) for Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine provides a sediment <br />control plan for reclaimed areas associated with the reclamation of Sediment Pond A. Per the <br />terms of the associated discharge permit (C00048972) a site specific Sediment Control Plan must <br />be submitted to DRMS that is designed to prevent an increase in the average annual sediment yield <br />from pre mine undisturbed conditions. The applicant is not proposing additional surface <br />disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles West of <br />Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
