Compliance With Mine Plan <br />N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />N - Other <br />N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />N - Processing Waste <br />N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Roadside Mines conducted by Harry Ranney and Brock Bowles of the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. Aerial photos were taken on July 29, 2015 at <br />approximately 14:07 pm. The weather conditions appear to be clear in the photos. Brock Bowles reviewed the <br />aerial photos. <br />Tonya Hammond of Snowcap Coal Company infomed the Division in a phone call (about 7/13/2015) that a large <br />rainfall event earlier in July caused damage to the mine site. Ms. Hammond hired a contractor to repair the <br />damages. The damage was repaired and the contractor was not on-site at the time of this aerial inspection. The <br />repair work was not evident in the photos. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The Carey Pond contained a small quantity of water. About one half of the pond bottom was visible from <br />the photograph (photo 1). <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The vegetation of the reclaimed areas is green and appears to be doing very well compared to the adjacent <br />undisturbed areas. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The Roadside South Refuse Disposal Area appears to be stable with no signs of erosion or instability seen <br />in the photos (photo 1). <br />The CRDA-1 and -2 appear to be stable with no signs of instability (photo 2). <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
